Its mad late and Im a tired but I had to post this. I had a friend a few days ago tell me they where shocked to learn I was a tattoo artist. Now I'm not sure what the general thoughts and impression that the average joe has about tattoo artists. Its just funny that her first thoughts where OMG...he must me doing bad on drugs or totally a alcoholic..lol Its not her fault I notice that more and more people run into a scratchers in your local neighborhoods and via tattoo parties that will do extremely bad work for next to nothing or for a fix, bump whatever. Even despite the attention shows like Miami Ink, LA Ink, London Ink and Inked have shown into the world of professional tattooing. Many people still seem to still not be able to see the difference between good and bad talent. Though I know that the definition of art is a very liquid concept. . This is a craft and is not for everyone to run out and get a ebay kit and BANG!! your a tattoo artist. It takes years or a lifetime and a lot of blood sweat and tears to be able to call yourself a artist. Scratchers don't know about that. Im sorry for ranting but a little respect from the masses is my goal.
